PNoy's, Du30's hecklers BOTH arrested

In 2014, then-President Noynoy Aquino was heckled during an Independence Day speech. This year, 2018, now-President Rody Duterte was also heckled during his Independence Day speedy.


NEWS IN 2014: A student activist was arrested yesterday for heckling President Benigno Aquino III during his Independence Day speech in Naga City.
Provincial news website Bicol Standard reported that Emmanuel Pio Mijares, a 19-year-old psychology student of Ateneo de Naga University, shouted "Patalsikin ang Pork Barrel King! Walang pagbabago sa Pilipinas!" while Aquino was delivering his speech.

Mijares is reportedly a member of Youth ACT Now! and Kabataan Partylist. SOURCE:

MORE NEWS: Mijares was arrested, thrown in jail and charged with “tumults and other disturbances of public order” and creating “alarm and public scandal,” as the INQUIRER reported. NEWS IN 2018: A PROTESTER who disrupted President Rodrigo Duterte’s speech during the 120th anniversary of Philippine independence in Cavite on Tuesday was arrested. In a report from the Kawit Municipal Police Station, the protester was identified as Francis Couichie, 20.

Couichie and nine other protesters heckled the President, shouting “Huwad na Kalayaan” (false freedom) at the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit. Police arrested Couichie while his nine companions escaped. SOURCE:
