Consistent testimonies PREVAIL over irreconcilable, unexplained testimonies

Appellant Rogelio's defense that the victim was accidentally stabbed is defeated and negated by his own testimony. The differences in the three (3) versions of the incident are irreconcilable and unexplained. Thus, against the uncontested and consistent testimony of the prosecution witnesses, his defense must fail. [G.R. No. 118079. December 24, 1996]
