Peña responds to @AttyMaldita's story re: IBP ID: "Ask for BSP cir. 608"

After going viral, the IBP ID anecdote received (serious, funny, funnier or lame) responses from netizens. These include Gideon Peña's reply to @AttyMaldita who originally posted the joke on Twitter. He advised, "You can politely ask for a copy of BSP Circular 608, S. of 2008 which specifically lists the IBP ID as a valid ID. Banks usually have it on file."
Indeed, checking BSP Circular 608, S. of 2008 reveals that the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP ID) is one of the valid IDs recognized by the Bank Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). The circular, in part, provides:
