What is the effect of non-compliance with order for bill of particulars?

If the order directing the plaintiff to submit a bill of particulars is not complied with, or in  case of insufficient compliance, the court may order:

[1] the STRIKING OUT of the pleading or the portion thereof to which the order was directed or,
[2] MAKE SUCH ORDERS as it DEEMS JUST. (Rule 12, Sec. 4 of the Rules of Court)
