Senator pushes for total ban on plastic straws

It takes 10 minutes to finish that drink with your single-use plastic straw. But that straw will take at least 200 years to decompose. It goes to our waste bins, then to our seas and oceans, endangering our ecosystem.

The Plastic Straw and Stirrer Ban that I filed in the Senate is to make us more aware of how pervasive single-use plastic straws are in our daily life.
