Corporation; moral damages
A corporation has no nervous system. Therefore, it cannot experience sleepless nights, mental anguish or emotional pain. It cannot, as a rule, recover moral damages.
By way of exception, however, a corporation can recover moral damages under Art 2219 (7) if a victim of defamation. (G.R. No. 141994. January 17, 2005)
